The story behind my work.
What inspires me, how I create, and the moments that shaped my art.
Who are some of your favorite artists?
Andrew Wyeth for his minimalist approach and quiet moments (Daydream is a personal favorite). I’ve admired photographer Kristiann Koch Riddle since elementary school. Also a huge fan of Irina Cumberland and Mary Frances Carter.
What’s your biggest art-related business fear?
Social media.
If you could collaborate with any fictional character, who would it be?
Amy March ambitious, disciplined, and serious about art as a profession.
What’s your favorite color, and why does it show up in your work?
Green—because it represents growth and life.
What’s the first piece of art you were truly proud of?
A beach house I painted for my mom in 3rd grade called As You Wish. It’s now part of my logo.
Favorite vacation spot that’s not a beach?
Park City, Utah—Rocky Mountains, skiing, and hiking.
Sunrise or sunset?
Sunrise. Always.
Do you have any hobbies besides art?
Reading (romance novels forever), functional fitness (shoutout to F45), and running.
Introvert or extrovert?
Introvert. Possibly the biggest one ever.
Favorite Wrightsville Beach access and why?
Access 36! I met my husband there, first date, engagement, and elopement. It’s also the access I paint the most.
